Vice Chancellor 2: UPNVJ Continues to Improve Lecturer Quality

Deputy Chancellor for General Affairs and Finance at the Jakarta Veterans National Development University (UPNVJ) Dr. Prasetyo Hadi, SE, MM, CFMP said UPNVJ continues to improve the quality of lecturers who teach to serve the student learning process on campus.

"Not only the number of lecturers has been increased, but also the quality. Many lecturers who have not yet started their PhD have continued their education both at home and abroad," said Pras in the 2021 UPNVJ Introduction to Campus Life (PKKMB) online activity which was held online. on Wednesday (11/8/2021).

Pras said the lecturers who teach at UPNVJ have at least a Masters degree and come from various regions that can contribute to student learning, including practitioners, professors, and experts in certain scientific fields. Lecturers are also encouraged to get recognition of expertise in their respective fields.

According to Pras, the improvement in the quality of lecturers is in line with UPNVJ's designation as a Public Service Agency (PTN-BLU) State University within the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology.

"With PTN-BLU status, the priority in management is improving services to stakeholders. UPNVJ continues to make efforts to improve in various fields," he said.

In addition to developing the quality of lecturers, UPNVJ also continues to make improvements in the field of facilities and infrastructure such as developing buildings, laboratories and further studies. Facilities and infrastructure continue to be improved based on the needs of the student teaching and learning process.

"One of the learning facilities and infrastructure is a laboratory. The laboratories in the faculty have begun to have improvements according to student learning needs," he explained.

Pras acknowledged that improving facilities and infrastructure required funding and one source of financing was the single tuition fee (UKT) paid by students.

However, Pras asked students not to make UKT one of the issues that became an obstacle to learning. According to him, there are eight UKT classifications which are an effort to give a sense of justice to students so they can study as expected.

"No need to be afraid. The Chancellor's directive is that students who have been accepted can study in peace from start to graduation," he said. (*)
