BI CORNER X Nutrition for the Nation, Holds Charity Program 2021

HumasUPNVJ - Not long ago the BI Corner Study Club, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UPN Veterans Jakarta (UPNVJ) held a BI Corner Charity Program activity to raise funds and books to be given to underprivileged Indonesian children on the outskirts of Jakarta on Saturday (18/09/21) ago.

This is done as a form of community service. Books given can be in the form of used books that are still suitable or new books. This activity was successfully completed with a total of 20 children receiving the donations.

The children who receive the donations themselves are under a non-profit social community called “Nutrition for the Nation”. This community fosters children in the age range of 5-12 years in terms of access to education and increasing welfare.

The purpose of holding this activity is to increase Indonesian children's interest in reading, help those who are less fortunate to be able to add insight through books as windows to the world, and to make use of books that have been unread from donors so that they can be more useful.

Based on the report by Shafa Wahyu Nadafaira, a UPNVJ FEB student who is also a member of the BI Corner, said that previously this activity began with the publication of receipt of donations which were distributed through all the official social media of the BI Corner Study Club , which was open to the wider community.

"Due to the imposition of restrictions on community activities, we were forced to postpone the delivery of the donations to GUN students until September 18, 2021. On the day of the delivery of the donations, all the committee gathered at the previously agreed point at 10.00. We were then warmly welcomed by Ms. Elsa as a representative for GUN members who helped us distribute the donations well and pleasantly," said Shafa in his report.
