German Center UPNVJ Holds German Center Indonesia and Climate Change Symposium

HumasUPNVJ - Following up UPN Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) officially had a German Center study center some time ago. Currently the German Center UPNVJ is holding the German Center Indonesia and Climate Change Symposium in the Bhineka Tunggal Ika Auditorium room, on Thursday (25/11/21).

This event presented Dr. Bambang Susanto, MA Director of the German Center UPN Veterans Jakarta, Wandojo Siswanto, Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) Senior Advisor for Climate, Dipl.-Ing Toga Panjaitan (Principal Project Engineer Energy Systems Germany & Southeast Europe DNV German Diaspora - IASI), and Dr. Damayanti Sarodja BPPT/BRIN.

In this case Dr. R. Dudy Heryadi, Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences representing the Chancellor of UPNVJ, said that client change includes what has happened in Indonesia, such as floods, landslides and this requires good handling.

Through UPNVJ's collaboration with Germany, it is hoped that some of the existing problems in Indonesia can be discussed and the German Center can lead and promote cooperation so that it can make a significant contribution.

The activity was attended by 140 participants who were divided online and offline which included UPNVJ academics, students, Indonesian and German diaspora and GIZ.

The Study Center initiated by Dr. Bambang Susanto MA was established with the aim of being a science and technology development partner and opportunities for cooperation to educate the nation's life and advance public welfare in accordance with the 1945 Constitution.

Broadly speaking, the discussion is about climate change that is happening in Indonesia and its negative impacts and what we as Indonesian people should do to be able to keep things from getting worse.
