Public RelationsUPNVJ - The Faculty of Economics and Business, Jakarta "Veteran" National Development University is again holding the BIEMA National Seminar (Business Management, Economic and Accounting National Seminar).
This BIEMA National Seminar is the 6th edition and is one of the routine activities held every year. This activity was held on Wednesday, 18 October 2023 at Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Rectorate Building, 4th Floor, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta, which was attended by students and lecturers at the UPNVJ Faculty of Economics and Business.
Carrying the theme "Green Economy in the Context of Sustainable National Development," this national seminar activity is relevant to current conditions, where the green economy concept is developing very quickly to support sustainable development (SDGs) and eradicate poverty.
"I am sure that this seminar will make a real contribution to the development of science and be able to answer the problems and challenges of the green economy in Indonesia which are still at a normative level by providing innovative and significant solutions to support sustainable development in Indonesia," said the Dean of FEB, Dr. Jubaedah, SE., MM in his opening speech.
He hopes that this seminar can become a forum for sharing knowledge in the hope of creating new breakthroughs in anticipating the changes that are currently occurring.
The first resource person, Dr. Justina Adamanti as DKMP Bank Indonesia, delivered material on Bank Indonesia Initiatives in Sustainable Finance.
"To reduce carbon emissions, banks must increase the portion of low-emission financing, which does not have to be green, so that it becomes a catalyst for the growth of bank debtors who are more environmentally friendly," said Dr. Justina.
Meanwhile, the second resource person, Mr. Dr. Tauhid Ahmad as FEB lecturer and Director of INDEF, delivered material on Green Economy: Concept and Future Agenda.
"The green economy will grow when community welfare is at a high level along with high social awareness and environmental concern," said Tauhid Ahmad
The final resource person, Prof. Dr. Drs. Prasetio Ak, CA, SH, M.Hum as Director of Finance and Risk Management of PT Garuda Indonesia, delivered material regarding Steering Leadership in the Era of a Green Economy.
"The Indonesian government realizes the importance of sustainable growth for Indonesia's long-term prosperity. Green economy is considered capable of improving the economy, increasing welfare and preventing environmental damage," said Prof. Prasetio
In their presentations, the speakers also conveyed messages and appeals to students regarding what they could do to protect the environment and support the creation of a green economy in an effort to support sustainable national development.
