Kindness Ignites at the Avicenna Aid Corps x RSPAD Gatot Soebroto Blood Donation Event

Public Relations UPNVJ – Today, UPN "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ) students gathered in the Wahidin FK UPNVJ Building Hall for an event full of goodness. This activity is part of the efforts of FK students and the medical team from RSPAD Gatot Soebroto to help those in need through voluntary blood donations.

According to information obtained by the UPNVJ Public Relations Team from the Chief Executive of the activity, Arvian Akbar, a Medical Study Program Student Class of 2022, this blood donation activity is an annual event organized by the FK Medical Assistance Team, called the Avicenna Assistance Corps specifically for the Young Generation.

Arvian explained that this blood donation event was aimed as a form of social service and an embodiment of humanity. The collected blood bags will later be distributed to patients who need blood transfusion support at Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital.

Collaboration with RSPAD in blood donation activities is the first time. The Avicenna FK UPNVJ Aid Corps in previous activities usually collaborated with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) and Fatmawati Hospital. RSPAD is planned to remain a partner in this blood donation activity.

Ending the interview session with the UPNVJ Public Relations Team, Arvian invited the entire UPNVJ extended family and academic community who actively donate blood to participate in the blood donation activities which are held every year.

The Avicenna Aid Corps FK UPNV even plans to make blood donation a routine activity carried out every six months. This activity is not only for FK UPNVJ students but also for all UPNVJ students and the general public.

Judging from the enthusiasm of the UPNVJ community, the blood donation event was considered successful. Registration of potential donors exceeded the target of 100 people, although in practice there were several potential registrants who were rejected from donating because they did not meet the minimum requirements and criteria.
