Public Relations UPNVJ - The Faculty of Economics and Business, National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta held a Focus Group Discussion activity entitled Establishment of a Halal Center of Excellent on Thursday, 12 October 2023. This time the FGD presented the resource person, Father Affaro Salim, Ph.D as Chief Executive Officer of Binaskil Academy.

This activity aims to gather information about the opportunities and challenges of FEB UPN Veteran Jakarta to establish a Halal Center of Excellence as well as planning various future activities.

In his speech, the Dean of FEB Dr. Jubaedah Nawir, SE, MM hopes that the results of this discussion can become a consistent collaboration through the exchange of ideas and insights.

Affaro Affandi said that currently there are several universities that have Halal Centers of Excellence. "What we want to agree on is that we develop a proposal and collaborate with the Islamic Development Bank," said Affaro Effendi.

On the other hand, Anwar Fathoni as Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs FEB UPNVJ conveyed the aims of establishing the Halal Center of Excellence, especially in the context of Sharia Economics. This field has a main focus in producing three types of graduates, namely Junior Analysis of Sharia Economics and Finance, Junior Researcher of Sharia Economics and Finance, and Halal Industry Entrepreneurs.

The field of Sharia Economics needs to be supported by human resources who are experts in the fields of sharia economics and finance. Apart from presentations from resource persons, the event continued with discussions and questions from the UPNVJ Halal Center of Excellent team.
