HumasUPNVJ – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ) again held a routine flag ceremony on Monday, February 17, 2025, in the front yard of the Wahidin Sudiro Husodo Building, Faculty of Medicine, UPNVJ at around 07.30 WIB. This routine ceremony was attended by all academicians, including lecturers, education staff, and students.
Vice Rector for Academic Affairs UPNVJ Henry Binsar represented the Rector as the ceremony instructor. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of national spirit and discipline in every step taken by all academicians. Henry also invited all ceremony participants to continue to improve their quality and strengthen their commitment in achieving the university's vision and mission.
"This flag ceremony is not only a form of respect for the national flag, but also a momentum to remind us all about the importance of discipline and enthusiasm to contribute to the progress of the nation," he said.
In addition, the ceremony instructor also conveyed several achievements that UPNVJ had achieved in early 2025. "On this occasion, with great joy and gratitude we need to convey that entering early 2025, UPN Veteran Jakarta has achieved proud achievements starting from student achievements, lecturers and institutional achievements," said Henry.
"We hope that these achievements will continue to grow and improve throughout 2025 with levels, numbers, scopes and varieties of competitions, competitions, dimensions that are broader, higher, more numerous and more diverse," he continued.
After previously opening new study programs that were immediately flooded with enthusiasts, namely the S1 Data Science and the Film, Television and Media Studies Study Program in January 2025, UPNVJ has also received a Decree from the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology regarding the Permit to Open the Undergraduate Business Law Study Program at the Faculty of Law.
The presence of this study program completes the number of study programs at UPNVJ which currently totals 41, consisting of 5 Diploma III, 24 Bachelor's, 8 Master's, 2 Profession, 1 Specialist and 1 Doctoral. UPNVJ is committed to continuing to increase the number of innovative study programs or study programs that are needed in today's digital era.
The students and education staff also seemed enthusiastic in following the ceremony, realizing that this activity has important value as part of character and integrity education in the world of education.
