HumasUPNVJ - The Faculty of Computer Science of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta has turned 30 years old — marking three decades of FIK UPNVJ's work in producing competent human resources in the field of information technology. This is also a marker of FIK UPNVJ's real contribution in supporting the advancement of higher education in Indonesia.
During this journey, FIK UPNVJ has gone through various dynamics, growing and developing into one of the adaptive faculties to technological developments and community needs.
As a form of respect for the journey, UPNVJ held the 30th FIK Dies Natalis event as the peak of a series of activities with the theme "Three Decades of Work: Creating a Superior and Innovative Generation Towards Golden Indonesia 2045."
UPNVJ Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anter Venus was present to enliven the FIK Dies Natalis which took place at the FIK Hall, Ki Hajar Dewantara Building on Thursday, May 8, 2025. This event was also enlivened by the FIK UPNVJ academic community, starting from the dean, vice dean, head of department, lecturers to education staff, Former Leaders, Cooperation Partners (Maxy Academy, Multimatics, PT Saras) also attended along with students from the FIK UPNVJ extended family.
In his speech, Prof. Venus hoped that the academic community of FIK UPNVJ would be able to strengthen their commitment to achieving UPNVJ's vision and mission as a National Defense campus and the national vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
"I hope that at the age of 30, it can further foster a sense of pride and solidarity among the FIK academic community," said Prof. Venus.
"And most importantly, hopefully FIK UPNVJ can strengthen its commitment in supporting the achievement of the national vision of Golden Indonesia 2045 by strengthening the role of higher education in producing superior, characterful, and adaptive generations to the development of the times," he said.
Prof. Venus also emphasized the importance of making the Dies Natalis celebration a momentum for reflection on the journey of FIK UPNVJ, both institutionally and academically.
The presence of the Chancellor in various faculty events shows UPNVJ's commitment to supporting and appreciating each faculty and academic community regarding achievements and transformation towards a more superior university.
