UPNVJ Holds EducationUSA Program Socialization for Campus Internationalization

Public Relations of UPNVJ – The Office of International Affairs (KUI) of the National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) held a socialization activity for the EducationUSA program at the Diplomacy Laboratory of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UPNVJ on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

This activity presents speakers from EducationUSA, an agency under the auspices of the United States Department of State that provides educational consulting services, scholarship information, and various international youth programs for students and academics around the world.

The event was officially opened by the Head of KUI UPNVJ, Dr. Bambang Susanto, MA, who emphasized the importance of the role of international programs in improving the capacity of institutions and academics.

"Based on our experience and commitment to expanding our international network and connecting internationally, especially with institutions in the US, I hope today's event is not just an information session, but also an important step in empowering our students and academic community with global opportunities," said Bambang.

“Programs offered by the U.S. Government, such as scholarships, exchange initiatives, leadership training, and higher education opportunities, provide more than just academic advancement—they open minds, expand networks, and cultivate globally engaged future leaders,” he continued.

“We believe that international exposure—especially through partnerships with institutions in the United States—can play an important role in building academic excellence, innovation, and mutual understanding,” said Bambang.

He also believes that exposure to new perspectives and experiences will not only open up wider opportunities for academic exchange and international studies, but will also hopefully encourage improvements in the quality of education within the UPNVJ environment.

In the long term, this kind of collaboration will strengthen UPNVJ's international network and support closer educational ties between Indonesia and the United States.
