UPNVJ Law Masters Students Study 'Comparative Jurisprudence' at UiTM Malaysia

Public Relations UPNVJ – Students from the Law Masters Program at the Faculty of Law, National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ) took part in the second session of the sit-in program at the Faculty of Law, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia, on April 28 2025.

This activity is part of the curriculum internationalization initiative and strengthening of cross-country academic networks.

In the lecture session, students had the opportunity to attend a live lecture with En. Mohd Nazim Bin Ganti Shaari, a senior lecturer in the field of legal theory and philosophy. The material entitled "Comparative Jurisprudence" discusses the approach and school of law from the common law legal system, civil law, and the perspective of Islamic law.

En. Mohd Nazim also reviews the comparative development of legal theory in Malaysia and Indonesia, and its implications for contemporary legal practice by considering the social, political and cultural contexts of both countries.

UPNVJ students enthusiastically participated in the discussion, actively asking questions and reflecting on the concepts of justice, natural law, and positive law from a cross-legal system perspective. They claimed to have gained new perspectives that broadened their legal understanding globally.

This activity is part of a series of collaborations between the UPNVJ Faculty of Law and the UiTM Faculty of Law, which aims to broaden scientific horizons, build academic collaboration, and support the internationalization agenda of legal higher education in Indonesia.
