HumasUPNVJ - Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) has again made an important achievement in academic development. The campus officially opened the Nursing Masters Study Program after receiving the Decree (SK) of establishment from LLDikti Region III, dated June 11, 2025.
The handover of the decree was held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, and was attended by the university's leadership, including the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Henry Binsar Hamonangan Sitorus, Dean of FIKES Desmawati, Head of LPMPP Satria Yudhia Wijaya, and Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of FIKES Rita Ismail.
With the presence of this program, UPNVJ now has a total of nine master's programs and 43 study programs in total. Under the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES), the Master of Nursing is the ninth postgraduate study program—complementing previous programs such as Master of Management, Law, Accounting, Communication Science, Political Science, International Relations, Biomedical Science, and Public Health.
New student registration will open in June 2025 for the odd semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year. Meanwhile, lectures are scheduled to start in August 2025.
This program is unique in its Matra Health approach, which prepares graduates to become leaders, researchers, and decision makers in the context of health crises. The curriculum is based on national defense values and national and international health policies.
The teaching lecturers are graduates of doctoral programs from leading universities, both domestically and abroad, and actively research and publish scientific works in reputable journals.
With the opening of this program, UPNVJ becomes the second state university in Jakarta to hold a Master of Nursing Program. The presence of this program is expected to be able to answer the needs of the world of work and the health industry for graduates of nursing masters who are tough, have integrity, and have leadership in critical situations.
