Small Steps, Big Impact: UPNVJ FEB Abdikarya 2025 Officially Begins

The Faculty of Economics and Business at the Veteran National Development University Jakarta (FEB UPNVJ) once again held Abdikarya, an annual community service program that encourages students to directly participate in village social and economic development. This year, 70 students were officially dispatched to Kampung Tutul, Cidokom Village, Bogor Regency, West Java, for a four-day series of community service activities.

Carrying the theme "The Spirit of Student Contribution in Real Work and Service," Abdikarya 2025 is a forum for actualizing the values of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, especially in the field of community service.

Deputy Dean III of FEB UPNVJ, Praptiningsih, SE., MM., who personally sent off the participants, expressed her hope that the students would not only become academics, but also have a strong social spirit.

"Abdikarya is not just a work program. It's a life experience that will shape your character as future leaders," said Praptiningsih on Monday, July 21, 2025.

"We believe that small steps can create big impacts," he continued.

While in Kampung Tutul, students will carry out various activities, including:

- Children's Education and Literacy: Creative classes, learning assistance, and educational games.

- Economic Empowerment: Financial literacy training, MSME product creation, and digitalization of local product promotion.

- Environment and Health: Village clean-up activities, planting productive plant seedlings, and promoting healthy lifestyles.

- Social Collaboration: Discussion and mutual cooperation with residents and community leaders to explore local potential.

Abdikarya is not just about work programs, but also about interaction, empathy, and learning directly from the lives of the community. FEB UPNVJ hopes that the students' presence will leave a positive mark and inspire the village community.

With a spirit of collaboration and sincere intentions, the students of FEB UPNVJ are now stepping towards service—bringing hope, knowledge, and enthusiasm to help build the country from the village.
