In an effort to improve the quality of professional, accountable, and high-quality institutional governance, the Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) through the Planning, Finance & General Affairs Bureau (PKU) held a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Training activity for CPNS lecturers within the UPNVJ environment.
This activity took place on Wednesday, July 31, 2025, in the Auditorium Room of the Faculty of Medicine, 3rd Floor, UPNVJ, and was attended by 147 CPNS, both educational staff and lecturers from various faculties.
The training was officially opened by the Vice Rector for Planning, Finance and General Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Netti Herawati, M.Si, who in her remarks conveyed the importance of preparing POS as part of the institution's quality management system.
"With clear and documented Standard Operating Procedures, every work process can run effectively, efficiently, and responsibly. This is also an important indicator in internal and external audits," he said.
The training material was delivered by the Human Resources Analyst of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mohammad Ali Akbar and the Data and Information Manager, Werdi Trisnawati, who discussed technically the differences between SOPs and POSs, the steps for preparing a good POS, as well as direct practice in preparing POSs according to the context of each work unit.
Participants were also given the opportunity to simulate the preparation of a POS based on routine activities in their work units, which were then discussed with the facilitator to obtain constructive feedback.
According to the Head of PKU Taufik, this training is very useful because it provides technical guidance that is applicable and relevant to the needs of the institution.
"We've been carrying out routine activities, but not all of them have been documented to standard standards. This training helps us organize them systematically and provides learning for the civil servant candidates (CPNS), the next generation of UPNVJ, in building organizational governance," he said.
Through this training, UPNVJ affirms its commitment to realizing higher education governance that is system-based, documented, and oriented towards continuous improvement.
