UPNVJ Public Relations - Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) held the 2026 UPNVJ Independent Selection for prospective students of the Medical Study Program offline at the UPNVJ Pondok Labu Campus, South Jakarta, Thursday (25/6). The implementation of this selection received special attention because prospective students took the exam directly on campus. UPNVJ's Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Cooperation, and Information Systems, Dr. dr. Ria Maria Theresa, Sp.KJ., MH, directly monitored the exam to ensure the entire process was orderly, smooth, objective, and according to procedure.
Monitoring was conducted in several exam rooms used by Independent Selection participants, including the exam location for prospective Medical Program students. The presence of university leaders was part of UPNVJ's efforts to maintain the quality of new student admissions, particularly in the selection process, which requires optimal technical, administrative, and supervisory readiness, as well as participant service.
During the inspection, Dr. Ria Maria Theresa ensured that the facilities and infrastructure, monitoring system, administrative processes, and information technology support met established standards. She also spoke with the organizing committee to obtain a first-hand report on the condition of the examination rooms, the readiness of the staff, and the situation of the participants during the selection process.
"Implementing the offline Independent Selection is a strategic step to ensure an objective, transparent, and accountable selection process. We want to provide an equal opportunity for all participants to demonstrate their best abilities," said Dr. Ria Maria Theresa.
According to him, holding an in-person selection requires more comprehensive preparation, from room arrangement, participant supervision, equipment readiness, to cross-unit coordination. Therefore, every stage of the implementation must be ensured to comply with regulations so that participants can take the exam safely, comfortably, and focused.
The 2026 UPNVJ Independent Selection for prospective medical students also demonstrates the university's commitment to recruiting students who possess not only academic competence but also integrity and a spirit of national defense. These values align with UPNVJ's character as a national defense campus that prioritizes quality, discipline, and responsibility as the foundation of education.
UPNVJ continues to strengthen its new student admissions system through a credible and professional selection mechanism. Through this direct monitoring, the university affirms its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the selection process while ensuring that the best prospective students have an equal opportunity to join UPNVJ.
