UPNVJ Public Relations – The National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) held the 2026 UPNVJ Independent Selection Examination or SEMA online on Thursday, June 25, 2026. This exam was attended by 8,176 participants from various regions in Indonesia as part of the UPNVJ new student admission process.
The selection process is conducted under strict supervision to ensure that the exam is objective, transparent, and accountable. Through this selection process, UPNVJ strives to identify prospective students with academic competence, outstanding potential, and a strong national defense character.
During the exam, participants take the exam from their respective locations while adhering to the technical requirements established by the committee. The online exam mechanism is supported by an integrated system to ensure the selection process runs smoothly and according to procedure.
The UPNVJ Rectorate, through the New Student Admissions Committee, regularly monitors all stages of the exam. This monitoring is conducted to ensure the smooth implementation of the 2026 UPNVJ Student Examination (SEMA), including system readiness, participant supervision, and technical support during the exam.
Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Head of UPNVJ New Student Admissions, Dr. Henry Binsar Hamonangan Sitorus, ST, MT, said that the 2026 UPNVJ Independent Selection is part of the university's commitment to opening wider access to higher education for high school graduates/equivalent.
"The 2026 UPNVJ Independent Selection, with 8,176 participants, demonstrates our commitment to attracting the best prospective students from across Indonesia. The online exam is supported by an integrated system and strict oversight mechanisms, ensuring a fair, transparent, and credible selection process. We hope all participants perform well and demonstrate their best abilities," said Henry.
He added that UPNVJ continues to improve the quality of its new student admissions process through the use of adaptive digital technology and a focus on excellent service. He believes that infrastructure readiness, committee coordination, and consistent oversight are crucial factors in maintaining the credibility of the selection process.
