UPNVJ Public Relations – The National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta ( UPNVJ ) once again demonstrated its commitment as a National Defense Campus by holding a 1000 tree planting activity in the UPNVJ Limo Campus, Depok, West Java, Friday, July 18, 2025.
This activity is a concrete form of UPNVJ's contribution in creating a green, healthy, and sustainable environment, as well as part of the IMPACT series, a national movement launched by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology to make universities a center of solutions and drivers of change.
The tree planting was attended by UPNVJ Rector, Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA. Comm., who also participated in the tree planting alongside the UPNVJ academic community, including lecturers, students, and education staff. "This activity is not merely symbolic, but a concrete manifestation of our commitment to protecting the environment as part of the spirit of National Defense," said Prof. Venus in her remarks.
“We are not just planting trees, but we are also planting hope, growing the life of one tree, for a better earth.”
"We want to make UPNVJ a campus that not only excels in education, but also cares about sustainability and the environment around the campus," said the Chancellor.
The planting of 1,000 trees will be a trigger for enthusiasm for students and the entire UPNVJ academic community to continue developing activities that have a positive impact on the environment and the wider community.
With the spirit of National Defense, UPNVJ continues to innovate and contribute to building a greener and more sustainable future.
