UPNVJ Public Relations – The National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) received a visit from a national figure and health expert, Prof. Dr. dr. Terawan Agus Putranto, Sp.Rad(K), on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. This visit was an important moment for UPNVJ in strengthening its role as a center for developing interdisciplinary ideas, not limited to the health sector alone.
In a meeting at the Pondok Labu Campus, Prof. Terawan and the UPNVJ leadership discussed the strategic role of higher education as guardians of scientific values, academic ethics, and character builders of superior human resources.
UPNVJ Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA., Comm, emphasized that universities currently bear a great responsibility in shaping the direction of the nation's thinking, both in the development of science and character.
"Going forward, universities will have an increasingly important position as reference centers for truth and knowledge-based human resource development," said Venus.
"Our task is not only to produce graduates who excel academically, but also those with strong character to become drivers of Indonesia's progress," he continued.
This meeting also served as an affirmation of UPNVJ's commitment as a space for open dialogue, which sows the noble values of higher education: academic, ethical, and humanistic.
Prof. Terawan expressed his appreciation for UPNVJ's commitment to maintaining academic integrity and its openness to cross-sectoral scientific development. He also hoped that such discussions would continue to strengthen the university's position in supporting national progress.
