UPNVJ Strengthens International Collaboration, Establishes Cooperation with University of Nebraska Medical Center, United States


Public Relations of UPNVJ – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) continues to expand its international cooperation network by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), United States, on Friday, July 4, 2025. This collaboration is a strategic step to strengthen the development of education, research, and innovation in the health sector between the two institutions.


The signing ceremony took place at the UPNVJ Pondok Labu Campus and was attended directly by the Rector of UPNVJ, Dr. Anter Venus, MA., Comm, and the UNMC delegation led by Joachim Voss, PhD, RN, ACRN, FAAN. Also present at this event were the leaders of the university, the Faculty, and the UPNVJ International Affairs Office.


Through this MoU, UPNVJ and UNMC agreed to develop a number of strategic programs, including, Student and lecturer exchanges, Research collaboration in the field of public health, Medical simulation training and curriculum development, Joint scientific publications and holding international seminars.


"We welcome this collaboration as a concrete manifestation of UPNVJ's internationalization. UNMC is a very potential partner, and we are confident that this collaboration will improve academic quality and," said Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, Rector of UPNVJ.


Meanwhile, Prof. Joachim Voss, PhD, RN, ACRN, FAAN expressed his appreciation for UPNVJ's openness in establishing global partnerships. He emphasized the importance of building a bridge of knowledge across countries to face the increasingly complex challenges of the world of health.


"We believe that through partnership with UPNVJ, we can create innovation, education, research and training that has a broad impact, both for Indonesian and global society," he said.


Some of the initial programs planned include online public lectures by UNMC experts, training of health workers, and sending UPNVJ students to UNMC for short-term exchange programs.
This collaboration is also part of UPNVJ's efforts towards achieving its vision as a world-class university based on national defense values.
