MAPALA UPNVJ Students Win Three Medals at FORNAS VIII 2025

HUMASUPNVJ – Three students of the National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) who are members of the Nature Lovers Student Activity Unit (MAPALA) succeeded in winning medals in the orienteering sport at the 8th National Community Sports Festival (FORNAS) 2025. The championship, organized by the Indonesian Community Recreational Sports Committee (KORMI), took place in Jakarta on July 29–30, 2025.

The event was attended by 177 athletes from 14 provinces across Indonesia. In a highly competitive competition, three female athletes from MAPALA UPNVJ demonstrated brilliant performances. Utari won a gold medal in the Maze Orienteering W20 category, Rinjani earned a silver medal in the Maze Orienteering W21 category, and Raisha won a bronze medal in the Sprint Orienteering W20 category.

Nadia Nugrahani, the head of MAPALA UPNVJ, stated that this achievement was the result of six months of intensive preparation, including physical training and navigation techniques. "We are proud to have brought honor to UPNVJ at the national level," she said.

This achievement demonstrates the commitment of UPNVJ students to achieving success in non-academic fields. UPNVJ Rector, Prof. Anter Venus, expressed his appreciation for the athletes' dedication. "We hope this achievement will motivate other students to continue contributing positively to their alma mater," he said.
This success also strengthens UPNVJ's position as a campus that supports the development of student competencies in various fields to continue transforming to achieve excellence.
