UPNVJ Present at the CUPT–CRISU 2025 International Conference at IKN

UPNVJ Public Relations – Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) participated in the 16th CUPT–CRISU Conference 2025, held on August 25–26, 2025, at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment Office in East Kalimantan, Indonesia. The conference, themed "Collaborative Innovation for Impact: Strengthening Food Security and Industrial Downstreaming through Higher Education Partnerships," served as a strategic platform to strengthen academic and research collaboration between Indonesian and Thai universities.

The conference was attended by more than 200 participants, including rectors, vice-rectors, deans, and students from 55 Indonesian state universities that are members of the Indonesian State University Rectors' Council (MRPTNI) and 10 universities from the Council of University Presidents of Thailand (CUPT). UPNVJ, as part of the MRPTNI, strengthened its commitment to cross-border collaboration to address global challenges, particularly in food security and industrial downstreaming.

This event includes three main forums, namely:

  1. President/Rector Forum, which discusses strategic agendas through high-level meetings.
  2. Dean Forum, which focuses on strengthening academic cooperation between faculties.
  3. Student Forum, which provides a space for students to discuss innovation and collaboration.

This conference was held thanks to the support of the Indonesian Capital City Authority (OIKN), MRPTNI, CUPT, and the Consortium of State Universities across Kalimantan, including Mulawarman University, Lambung Mangkurat University, Tanjungpura University, Palangka Raya University, and Borneo Tarakan University. In addition to the academic agenda, the event was enriched with cultural performances from the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta, the Indonesian Institute of Arts and Culture of East Kalimantan, Chulalongkorn University, and Siam University, strengthening the cultural dimension of this international forum.

Dr. Ria Maria Theresa, Sp.KJ., MH, Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Cooperation, and Information Systems at UPNVJ, stated that UPNVJ's participation in this conference is a strategic step to expand its international network and strengthen the role of higher education institutions in supporting national development. "Through collaboration with Thai universities and other institutions, UPNVJ is committed to producing innovations that impact food security and industrial downstreaming," she said.

The CUPT–CRISU 2025 conference is expected to produce concrete collaborations, such as student exchange programs, joint research, and community service, which will strengthen UPNVJ's position as a leading and globally competitive university. With a spirit of collaboration, UPNVJ continues to contribute to the advancement of higher education and sustainable development in Indonesia.
