UPNVJ Public Relations – Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) continues to strengthen its digital transformation in higher education quality assurance governance. Through the Quality Assurance and Learning Development Institute (LPMPP), UPNVJ officially launched the Internal Quality Audit Information System (SI-AMI) on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
The launch event took place at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium of UPNVJ and was attended by the Chancellor of UPNVJ Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm., Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Henry Binsar Hamonangan Sitorus, Head of LPMPP Satria Yudhia W., SE, MS Ak., Head of the AMI Center of UPNVJ Santika Sari, ST, MT, the deans, auditors, auditees, and the UPNVJ academic community. A total of 151 invitees attended the event.
In his remarks, UPNVJ Rector Prof. Anter Venus expressed his appreciation for the hard work of the entire academic community in driving institutional quality improvement. He stated that to date, 43 percent of UPNVJ's study programs have achieved outstanding accreditation.
"Extraordinary. I appreciate the hard work, collaboration, and determination of all of us to achieve excellence. We're already 43 percent ahead, and I thank the people behind that success," said Prof. Venus.
The Rector also highlighted UPNVJ's internationalization achievements, which continue to show positive progress. Currently, UPNVJ holds 16 international accreditations and nine international certification and accreditation programs. He stated that UPNVJ is not only focused on FIBAA international accreditation but is also beginning to expand its focus to quality recognition through other international accreditation bodies such as ASIIN, IAAHE, and IABEE. Most recently, two study programs in UPNVJ's Faculty of Engineering successfully obtained IABEE accreditation.
As a state university in Jakarta, UPNVJ is considered to have a number of impressive achievements. Prof. Venus cited the highly stringent selection process for new students, including the Medicine and Pharmacy Study Programs, which are among the most competitive nationally. In fact, the highest-scoring national student in 2024 is known to have chosen to continue their studies at UPNVJ's Faculty of Medicine.
"This means that an average score of 627 is very high. That's only for smart, very smart people. That's why we're undertaking a transformation, starting with institutional governance, faculty quality, infrastructure development, and supporting instruments like the SI-AMI (Academic Information System) we'll launch today," he said.
Furthermore, Prof. Venus emphasized that the launch of SI-AMI is part of UPNVJ's ongoing transformation to improve the quality of learning, governance, and institutional culture. This system is expected to be a crucial instrument in supporting the implementation of more effective, efficient, integrated, and data-driven Internal Quality Audits.
The official launch of SI-AMI was marked with a symbol by the Chancellor of UPNVJ, accompanied by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and the Head of LPMPP.
The event then continued with a briefing from the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Henry Binsar Hamonangan Sitorus. In his remarks, he emphasized that a culture of quality must be consistently developed and become part of the work patterns of the entire UPNVJ academic community.
He explained that the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) is the main foundation for building higher education quality. Meanwhile, the External Quality Assurance System (SPME) serves as a form of recognition of institutional quality through accreditation and external assessment processes.
"Quality culture does not belong to one unit, but is the responsibility of the entire UPNVJ academic community," he said.
Through the launch of SI-AMI, UPNVJ hopes to make the implementation of Internal Quality Audits more structured, transparent, and data-driven. This system is also expected to support the strengthening of superior, adaptive, and globally competitive university governance.
