UPNVJ Public Relations – The Language Academic Implementation Unit (UPA) of the National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) successfully held English Language Proficiency Test (ELPT) 2 preparation training for students in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. This training targeted 3,050 students who had not yet achieved a TeBI ELPT 1 score in 2024, as part of an effort to fulfill academic requirements such as proposal seminars, thesis defenses, graduation ceremonies, and graduation.
The training lasted for 10 days, July 1–4, July 7–11, and July 14, 2025, on the UPNVJ campus. Participants received intensive training that included strengthening listening skills, structure/grammar , and reading , as well as test-taking strategies, time management, and guided practice. This approach was enhanced by instructor feedback to address key weaknesses.
"We designed this training as a bridge to measurably improve TeBI ELPT scores," said the Head of UPA Bahasa UPNVJ, Dr. [Name of UPA Bahasa Head, if available]. "This intensive approach is expected to optimally prepare students for TeBI ELPT 2 in September–October 2025."
Of the 3,050 targeted students, 2,549, or approximately 83.5%, attended the training. They are scheduled to take the TeBI ELPT 2 exam in September–October 2025. This participation rate demonstrates the students' commitment to improving their English skills to support academic and professional success.
This training not only prepares students for academic needs but also equips them with English language skills for professional purposes, such as scholarships, internships, and the workplace. The UPNVJ Language Center also provides advanced coaching facilities, including a study lounge for independent study and a retest mechanism for students who need to improve their scores.
UPNVJ continues to strengthen the quality of its graduates through a structured English language development program. With this training, the university affirms its dedication to producing competent, confident graduates who are ready to compete globally.
