Public Relations of UPNVJ – Syakira Rafah Taqiyyah (NIM 2310412014), a student of the International Relations Undergraduate Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ), won 3rd place in the Talent Competition for the Singing Competition at the 2026 Bogor Innovation Award (BIA). This achievement was achieved after Syakira participated in a series of selections and talent performances in front of a panel of judges. The award was presented at the peak of the 2026 BIA series which took place at the Science and Techno Park of IPB University, Bogor. This achievement adds to the list of achievements of UPNVJ students in non-academic fields, especially arts and culture.

The 2026 Bogor Innovation Award is organized by the Bogor City Regional Development Planning, Research, and Innovation Agency (Bapperida) as part of the Bogor City Government's efforts to recognize community creativity and innovation. This event stems from the Bogor People's Creativity and Innovation (KRIBO) movement, which was launched in 2019 and transformed into the BIA in 2022.

This year's BIA not only provides a platform for innovation but also expands the platform for the community to showcase their potential in arts, culture, and visual creativity through the Talent Competition. The competition features five categories: Cosplay, Photography, Singing, Modern Dance, and Traditional Dance.

In the Singing category, participants first take part in an online selection process before proceeding to the live talent show stage. Syakira successfully passed each of these stages and received a positive assessment from the jury through her vocal technical abilities and appreciation for singing songs.

For Syakira, this success was a valuable experience because it provided an opportunity to test her abilities and increase her confidence in competing.

"I am very grateful and happy to have won third place at the 2026 Bogor Innovation Award. For me, this achievement is not only about getting an award, but also about the experience, the courage to perform, and the opportunity to continue learning and developing my singing skills," said Syakira.

She credited the support from her family, friends, and campus community for providing motivation throughout the competition. Syakira also expressed her appreciation to those who provided support and prayers.

"I'm grateful to my family, friends, and UPNVJ, especially FISIP, for their continued support and prayers. I hope this achievement will motivate me to continue working hard and to dare to participate in other competitions," he said.

According to Syakira, this achievement is also an encouragement to continue to develop interest and talent in the field of singing. He hopes that the experience he has gained can encourage other students to dare to explore abilities outside the academic field.

"I also hope to inspire fellow students to not hesitate to develop their interests and talents," he added.

Syakira's achievements are part of UPNVJ students' contributions to upholding the alma mater's reputation through various competitions. Achievements in the arts and culture sector also demonstrate that student potential can be developed through various avenues for actualization, both within and outside the academic environment.
