UPNVJ Public Relations – Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) continues to strengthen its commitment to internationalizing higher education through collaborations with global universities. One of its strategic partners is Walailak University. (WU) in Thailand, which has collaborated with UPNVJ since the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in 2021.
UPNVJ Rector, Prof. Anter Venus, stated that this collaboration has resulted in a number of significant academic and non-academic programs. "The collaboration with Walailak University includes activities such as Summer Courses, Guest Lectures, Joint International Community Service , and various other academic and non-academic initiatives," he said in his remarks while receiving a visit from the WU delegation in Jakarta, Wednesday (28/8/2025). He added that these programs not only broaden the academic horizons of students and lecturers but also strengthen inter-university relations.
The Chancellor also explained that this visit was a follow-up to a shared commitment to building a strategic international network. "We hope this collaboration can create synergy that supports UPNVJ's vision of becoming a leading and globally competitive university," he said.
The official visit by the Walailak University delegation, led by WU President, Prof. Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, provided a significant opportunity to deepen cooperation. The meeting discussed new collaboration opportunities, including joint research, student exchanges, integrated academic programs, and human resource capacity development.
With this collaboration, UPNVJ is optimistic about expanding its international network and strengthening its position as a competitive higher education institution on the global stage. The long-term partnership with Walailak University is expected to be a key pillar in realizing this vision.
