UPNVJ Public Relations – The UFO Student Activity Unit (UKM) of the National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) held a Class XII Exhibition entitled “Nemesis” on September 22-27, 2025, at the UPNVJ Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium. This exhibition aims to introduce the university and UFO Student Activity Unit (UKM) in the fields of photography, videography, and graphic design, while also serving as a space for reflection to transform life’s challenges into strengths.
The "Nemesis" exhibition features a series of activities, including an opening ceremony, a photography and graphic design exhibition, the premiere of a short film by the Class of 12, an award ceremony for the best works, and a closing ceremony. The event targets 1,300 visitors over six days: 150 for the short film screening on Tuesday, 50 for the awards ceremony on Friday, and 50 for the closing ceremony on Saturday.
Nadin Indah Ramadhani, Chairperson of the 12th UFO Student Activity Unit (UKM UFO) Exhibition, explained that the theme "Nemesis" depicts a "villain" as a representation of problems, anxieties, or challenges in life. "A villain can be an antagonist, a fantasy creature, or a symbolic figure representing fear, pressure, or obstacles," Nadin said in an online statement to the UPNVJ Public Relations team on Thursday (September 25, 2025).
This exhibition encourages visitors to view challenges not merely as threats, but as catalysts for courage, renewed awareness, and personal transformation. Through the works on display, "Nemesis" seeks to foster empathy, raise awareness, and remind us that every individual has unique struggles that can become opportunities for positive change.
This exhibition provides a platform for UFO student association members to be more productive and creative, while also expanding UPNVJ's brand awareness regionally and nationally. "We want this exhibition to serve as a strategic benchmark for introducing the university to a wider audience," Nadin added.
With a different concept than previous exhibitions, "Nemesis" is expected to inspire visitors to face life's challenges with a new perspective. This activity also strengthens the UFO Student Activity Unit's position as a creative outlet for UPNVJ students in the visual arts.
