UPNVJ Public Relations – The National Veteran Development University ( UPNVJ ) held a National Defense Actualization event from September 3-7, 2025, to strengthen the national defense identity on campus. Organized by the UPNVJ National Defense Study Center, the event aims to foster students' internalization and application of national defense values in their respective academic fields, while also strengthening their love for their homeland and their sense of responsibility for maintaining national integrity.

UPNVJ Rector, Prof. Anter Venus, stated that as a campus that upholds the national defense identity, UPNVJ has a strategic role in shaping the character of students who care about the nation and state. "This activity is designed to guide students in applying national defense concepts according to their academic disciplines, so they can make a real contribution to national development and security," she said while opening the event at the BBPPMPV Business and Tourism Center in Sawangan on Wednesday (September 3, 2025).

The National Defense Actualization activity involves students from various faculties, which will run until Sunday, September 7, 2025. Through an interdisciplinary approach, students are invited to understand how the values of national defense can be realized in academic and professional life, such as through technological innovation for national resilience, public health services, and strengthening the economy based on social justice.

The program also includes workshops and simulations to hone students' skills in applying national defense values, such as integrity, cooperation, and national spirit. According to Dr. Ridwan, Head of the UPNVJ National Defense Study Center, the program also aims to instill awareness that national defense is not only a military duty but also the responsibility of every citizen in their respective fields.

Prof. Venus added that through this activity, UPNVJ hopes students can become agents of change capable of strengthening national unity and progress. "We want UPNVJ graduates to not only excel academically but also possess a strong sense of national defense to contribute to Indonesia's sustainability," she emphasized.

UPNVJ remains committed to making national defense a key pillar of higher education. By holding activities such as the National Defense Actualization, UPNVJ strengthens its position as a university that produces a superior generation with integrity and a national perspective for a brighter future for Indonesia.
