UPNVJ Public Relations - The Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Cooperation, and Information Systems of the Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ), Dr. Ria Maria Theresa, along with Dr. Asropi, Head of the Academic and Student Affairs Bureau, visited the Jakarta Metropolitan Police on Monday (September 29, 2025). This visit was a follow-up to the previous visit made by the UPNVJ Rector on Friday (September 26, 2025), regarding the legal case involving Delpedro Marhaen, a final year student in the Postgraduate Program in Political Science. The visit demonstrated the university's serious concern for the rights of its students.
The visit aimed to monitor the progress of the ongoing legal process and provide academic assistance, particularly regarding the completion of Delpedro's final project or thesis. UPNVJ is committed to supporting the student to successfully complete his studies, despite the challenging circumstances.
Dr. Ria Maria Theresa expressed her hope that the legal process would be fair and transparent. "We will continue to support our students, especially in academic matters, to ensure their rights are met," she said. The university also urged the entire academic community to remain calm and wise in responding to this situation.
UPNVJ affirmed its commitment to protecting student rights and ensuring a smooth academic process. This step reflects the campus's role as an institution focused not only on education but also on humanitarian values and justice in supporting its students during this difficult time.
