UPNVJ Public Relations - The Faculty of Computer Science (FIK) of the Veteran National Development University (UPNVJ) Jakarta (UPNVJ) has collaborated with Google and the industrial sector (DUDIKA) to strengthen research and reform the digital competency-based curriculum. The meeting took place in Jakarta on Tuesday (October 7, 2025).
Present at the event were the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FIK) of UPNVJ, Prof. Supriyanto, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Erly Krisnanik, and the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation, Ati Zaidiah. Google representatives Edy Widianto, Ivan Sudirman, and Sugiyanto Yoannatan Widjaja presented opportunities for collaboration in digital technology and education.
The collaboration focuses on developing project-based internship programs, enhancing research, and adapting the curriculum to align with industry needs. Google offers collaborations in data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and cybersecurity, as well as free international certification for lecturers and students. This program supports Key Performance Indicator (KPI) 6, which targets globally competent graduates.
"This collaboration prepares students for a technology- and innovation-based workplace," said Prof. Supriyanto on Monday (October 13, 2025). He emphasized that this partnership strengthens the quality of learning through joint research, industry internships, and international certification.
According to a 2023 McKinsey Global Institute report, Indonesia needs 9 million digital talents by 2030 to support its digital transformation. This collaboration is a strategic step by the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FIK) at UPNVJ to produce competitive graduates in the digital era.
This collaboration affirms FIK UPNVJ's commitment to producing graduates who are academically superior, adaptive, and ready to contribute amidst the global digital transformation.
