UPNVJ Public Relations – Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) and Bank Muamalat signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development of education, research, and community service. The event took place at the UPNVJ Pondok Labu Campus on Wednesday (October 29).
UPNVJ Rector Prof. Anter Venus was present, along with vice rectors and university leaders. Bank Muamalat also attended, along with Business Director Ricky Rikardo Mulyadi and Head of Digital Banking Dadang Rohandi, along with other Bank Muamalat leaders.
Ricky Rikardo stated that this MoU serves as the foundation for deeper collaboration. "This is the first step towards a closer relationship," he said.
Prof. Venus emphasized strengthening cooperation in three main areas. "Focus on education, research, and community service," she said.
The event began with the signing of an MoU. Bank Muamalat then awarded scholarships to three outstanding students: Kayla Dwi Rachman (Bachelor of Information Science), Nalani Harumi (Bachelor of Law), and Nadya Fitaloka (Bachelor of International Relations). All three stated that the scholarships eased the burden on their families and motivated them to excel and pursue their studies, leading to their timely graduation.
The closing event was the handover of operational vehicles from Bank Muamalat to UPNVJ to support university activities.
This collaboration is expected to be an example of collaboration between universities and Islamic banking for academic and social progress.
