UPNVJ and Depok Health Office Discuss Bhakti Sakti Clinic Licensing, Strengthening Primary Health Care Services

UPNVJ Public Relations - Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) welcomed the Depok City Health Office to the UPNVJ Bhakti Sakti Clinic on Monday (April 20th) for a consultation on licensing for the establishment of the university's Pratama Outpatient Clinic. This visit was part of an effort to align with the latest regulations in the field of health services, particularly those related to the operational and administrative readiness of health facilities. The meeting also marked the first step in strengthening synergy between the university and the local government to provide health services that meet standards.

The delegation from the Depok City Health Office was led by the Head of Health Resources, Dr. Fikrotul Ulya, MKM, and received by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Cooperation, and Information Systems of UPNVJ, Dr. dr. Ria Maria Theresa, SpKJ, MH. The Vice Rector's position is listed on the official UPNVJ university leadership website.

In her statement, Dr. Fikrotul Ulya explained that the visit was focused on aligning perceptions regarding the new licensing requirements and reviewing the readiness of UPNVJ's existing facilities. According to her, the UPNVJ Bhakti Sakti Clinic has generally demonstrated adequate facilities and infrastructure, so the next phase will focus on adjusting service flows to align with applicable regulations.

"This visit aims to establish a common understanding through direct discussions and ensure compliance with the new regulations. So far, thank God, UPNVJ has adequate facilities and infrastructure. We just need to adjust the service flow going forward," said Dr. Fikrotul Ulya.

He added that the UPNVJ Bhakti Sakti Clinic is expected to serve not only as a healthcare facility for the community and academic community, but also as a relevant learning space for students. This way, students can gain first-hand knowledge of patient care procedures, primary healthcare workflows, and the implementation of standard procedures.

According to Dr. Fikrotul Ulya, the relationship between the Depok City Government and UPNVJ has been good, including through the contributions of students who undertake Field Work Practices at the Depok City Health Office. He believes this collaboration is important to continue strengthening because it provides mutual benefits for both the educational institution and the local government.

Beyond licensing, the visit emphasized the importance of developing primary healthcare services integrated with educational functions. The presence of a clinic on campus is considered strategic because it can expand access to healthcare services while supporting practice-based learning, particularly for students seeking field experience in the healthcare system.

UPNVJ views this consultation as an important step to ensure that the Bhakti Sakti Clinic develops in accordance with regulations, while providing real benefits to the community.
