UPNVJ Public Relations – The National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) carried out the slaughter of sacrificial animals in the framework of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah on campus, Thursday, May 28, 2026. In this year's activity, UPNVJ slaughtered four cows and nine goats. The activity was attended directly by the Chancellor of UPNVJ, Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm., along with the chairman and members of the Mosque Prosperity Council (DKM) Manbaul Ulum, lecturers, and educational staff who also participated in the sacrifice, both individually and collectively.
The slaughter of sacrificial animals is an annual event at UPNVJ every Eid al-Adha. This activity is not only a form of worship but also a manifestation of the academic community's social concern for others.
Through the Qurbani event, UPNVJ strives to strengthen the values of togetherness, sincerity, and solidarity on campus. The involvement of lecturers, educational staff, and members of the Manbaul Ulum Student Council (DKM) demonstrates a spirit of mutual cooperation in maintaining a long-standing tradition of kindness.
The presence of the UPNVJ Rector at the event demonstrated the university leadership's support for religious and social activities on campus. In addition to strengthening ties among UPNVJ members, the Qurbani event also provided a platform to instill humanitarian values in line with the spirit of the National Defense Campus.
"This sacrifice is part of the university's commitment to providing a religious, inclusive, and community-focused campus environment. We hope the value of sacrifice during Eid al-Adha will continue to inspire the academic community to contribute to others through concrete actions," said the UPNVJ Chancellor in his remarks.
By slaughtering four cows and nine goats, UPNVJ hopes the benefits of sacrifice will be felt more widely by the community. This activity also serves as a reminder that Eid al-Adha is not only a time for worship, but also an opportunity to strengthen caring, sharing, and building social harmony.
