Public Relations of UPNVJ – The Chancellor of the National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ), Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm, attended the 2026 Indonesian Science, Technology, and Industry Convention (KSTI) at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta, Friday, June 26, 2026, at 1:00 PM WIB.
The national forum was opened by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and serves as a strategic platform for the government, universities, industry, and stakeholders to strengthen the direction of development based on science, technology, research, and innovation. UPNVJ's presence at this event underscores the National Defense Campus' commitment to actively supporting Indonesia's economic independence and prosperity through contributions to higher education.
KSTI 2026 is a crucial momentum for universities to ensure that research and innovation results do not stop at academic publications, but move further into becoming concrete solutions for society and industry.
This forum also brings together strategic ideas across sectors, ranging from economics and finance, agriculture, energy, downstreaming and industry, maritime affairs and fisheries, food security, to education.
For UPNVJ, involvement in this national-scale forum aligns with the university's development direction as a state university that continues to strengthen its academic culture, research collaboration, and institutional contributions to development needs. Through KSTI 2026, UPNVJ recognizes the importance of synergy between campuses, government, and industry so that science can provide added value to the nation.
The presence of Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm, at KSTI 2026 is also part of UPNVJ's efforts to expand its institutional network, strengthen the relevance of higher education to industry needs, and encourage the development of superior human resources that are adaptive to changing times. Universities are required not only to produce graduates but also to present ideas, research, and innovations capable of addressing national challenges.
In this context, UPNVJ places research and innovation as a crucial part of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Strengthening the academic ecosystem is aimed at enabling lecturers, students, and researchers to produce work that has an impact on both the surrounding community and the development of strategic national sectors.
KSTI 2026 also emphasizes that national development requires inter-sectoral connectivity.
Economic independence cannot be built in isolation, but requires support from education, technology, industry, food, energy, maritime affairs, as well as public policies based on data and scientific studies.
Through participation in this forum, UPNVJ seeks to strengthen its position as a National Defense Campus that not only instills national values but also contributes to strengthening national competitiveness. National defense values are translated into productive, collaborative academic work that is oriented toward tangible benefits for the community.
From the perspective of the UPNVJ Rector, the university's participation in the 2026 KSTI represents the responsibility of higher education institutions to contribute to the nation's major agenda. UPNVJ is committed to supporting government policies in strengthening human resources, research, innovation, and knowledge flow, ensuring the university's continued relevance to the needs of society, the workplace, and national development.
