UPNVJ Public Relations – Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) stated that it will provide an official, open, and data-based clarification regarding the testimony of Dinda Dinanti, a lecturer at the UPNVJ Faculty of Law, in the judicial review hearing of Law Number 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers at the Constitutional Court on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. The response was prepared after a video clip of the testimony circulated containing a number of issues regarding the welfare, status, and development opportunities of lecturers within the UPNVJ environment. UPNVJ Rector, Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm, said that the university and the Faculty of Law have identified seven main issues to be addressed in full. The clarification will be delivered as soon as possible after the team completes the collection of documents, regulations, and supporting data.
Prof. Venus made this statement after providing guidance and counseling for Batch 2 at the university level. According to her, UPNVJ is obligated to provide institutional explanations so that information circulating in the public sphere can be understood clearly, proportionally, and comprehensively.
"I haven't watched the full video, only the edited version. However, UPNVJ, as an institution, is obliged to fully and openly explain these accusations so that they can be understood clearly, truthfully, and comprehensively, so that there are no lies between us," said Prof. Venus.
The Rector explained that the clarification was not intended to escalate the controversy, but rather to ensure that all issues concerning governance, services, and human resource development at UPNVJ were answered based on facts. He added that the university needs to ensure that all information presented to the public is well-founded, including regulations, personnel documents, and relevant academic data.
Currently, the university team, along with the UPNVJ Faculty of Law, is gathering all the necessary data to prepare an official statement. This process includes document review, chronological review, and review of UPNVJ's policies and procedures.
"God willing, UPNVJ will operate according to good governance standards. We always work based on regulations, evidence or data, justification, and good intentions. We are still collecting data. God willing, we will respond as soon as possible," said Prof. Venus.
UPNVJ emphasizes that any input, criticism, or statements related to the implementation of higher education will be taken seriously. The university is also committed to maintaining a healthy, open, and responsible academic environment, while upholding the principles of prudence, objectivity, and compliance with applicable regulations.
From an institutional perspective, Prof. Venus views this clarification as part of UPNVJ's commitment to strengthening transparent, accountable, and continuous improvement-oriented university governance. She believes public trust in higher education must be maintained through honest communication, reliable data, and policies that support the advancement of the institution and its academic community.
