UPNVJ Public Relations — The Faculty of Medicine, Veteran National Development University Jakarta (FK UPNVJ) held an Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) at the faculty level on August 12–13, 2026, at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (BTI) Auditorium and the FK UPNVJ Campus in Pondok Labu, Jakarta. A total of 291 new students from three study programs participated in the Padma Kamanaya series to learn about the academic system, student life, National Defense character, integrity, and skills needed during higher education.

Participant data shows that the 291 new students comprise 205 undergraduate students in the Medical School program, 59 undergraduate students in the Pharmacy program, and 27 undergraduate students in the Biology program. The presence of students from these three disciplines demonstrates the increasingly diverse educational ecosystem at the Faculty of Medicine, UPNVJ, which focuses not only on medical education but also on the development of pharmaceutical and biological sciences.

The first day, Wednesday (August 12, 2026), aimed to provide an initial foundation in the academic and institutional life of the faculty. The briefing covered a number of topics relevant to the needs of new students. Participants were introduced to the Faculty of Medicine's vision and mission in National Defense, strategies for surviving and adapting during their studies at the Faculty, financial and human resource management, student affairs, collaboration, and the Student Parents Association (IKOMA).

Students also receive an introduction to dimensional medicine, character and mental development, and skills in time management and effective communication. The training program also incorporates literature searches, speed reading , and self-reflection as fundamental skills that can support a knowledge-based and evidence-based learning process.

Integrity is a key aspect of the 2026 PKKMB FK UPNVJ. On the first day, students received a presentation on the Prevention and Handling of Violence in Higher Education and the Integrity Zone. This agenda introduced from the outset the importance of building a safe, responsible, transparent educational environment that upholds academic ethics.

The second day, Thursday (August 13, 2026), focused more on hands-on experience in the faculty's learning environment and systems. Students participated in talk shows , campus tours , mentoring sessions, introductions to study programs and curriculum, and a Vikāsa Wangsa sharing session. Through this series, students gained an overview of the educational process they would undergo as well as the opportunities for self-development available during their studies.

The campus introduction continued with a library session and the signing of the Integrity Pact. Students were also introduced to the cadre formation process, student organizations, and Student Study Groups through a parade and organization booths . This series provided new students with the opportunity to learn about non-academic activities that can provide opportunities for leadership, collaboration, communication, and interest development.

The implementation of PKKMB at the faculty level is a continuation of the PKKMB UPNVJ at the university level which took place on August 10–11, 2026. At the university level, UPNVJ Rector Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm. positioned PKKMB as an initial momentum for students to get to know the academic environment and values of UPNVJ and prepare themselves to be able to grow and contribute according to their respective fields.

This direction is reflected in the 2026 UPNVJ Medical Faculty PKKMB through a combination of academic introduction, character building, integrity, literacy, communication, mentoring, and involvement in student organizations. With this foundation, new students are expected to not only be able to adapt to the rigorous demands of medical and science education, but also develop into academics with integrity, discipline, and adaptability, and be able to use knowledge to benefit society, in line with UPNVJ's character as a National Defense Campus.
