Held October 26–November 7, UPNVJ's PROSPEKTIV 2026 Provides New Students with Seven Self-Development Materials

UPNVJ Public Relations – Veteran National Development University Jakarta (UPNVJ) will hold the 2026 Learning, Ethics, Character, and Self-Development Stimulation Program (PROSPEKTIV) as part of the development of new students for the 2026/2027 academic year. The activity, which will take place from October 26 to November 7, 2026, is designed to strengthen students' character, mindset, motivation, and soft skills in facing academic life. Through seven video-based learning materials that can be accessed online, UPNVJ seeks to build a foundation for student self-development from the beginning of their studies.

PROSPEKTIV 2026 is a follow-up to the series of Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) UPNVJ 2026. This program is part of the university's efforts to ensure that students not only gain an understanding of the campus environment, but also have mental readiness, critical thinking skills, and awareness of ethical values and academic responsibility.

Unlike campus introduction activities, which focus on delivering institutional information, PROSPEKTIV emphasizes independent learning through audiovisual materials and assessments of understanding. This approach provides students with the opportunity to flexibly learn various self-development competencies while simultaneously cultivating discipline and responsibility in completing the learning process.

### Strengthening Student Character and Skills

In preparation for its implementation, UPNVJ involved a number of academics from various scientific fields as resource persons to develop PROSPEKTIV 2026 learning materials. The video production process was carried out at the UPNVJ Public Relations Studio by raising various topics relevant to the needs of students in the higher education environment and the development of the digital society.

The materials prepared cover Character Building, Digital Mindset, Ethical Thinking, Achievement Motivation, Critical Thinking, Growth Mindset, as well as Creativity, Entrepreneurship, and Collaboration. These seven topics are aimed at strengthening students' abilities in character building, adapting to change, critical thinking, and developing creativity and collaboration.

Through the Character Building course, students are introduced to the importance of character development as a foundation for academic behavior and social life. Meanwhile, the Digital Mindset course emphasizes the need for adaptive thinking in the face of technological developments that increasingly influence how people learn, work, and communicate.

Integrity is also a focus through the Ethical Thinking course, which discusses the application of ethical values in academic, digital, and professional life. Students are encouraged to understand the importance of honesty in completing assignments, responsibility in group work, and the wise use of technology and artificial intelligence.

The Achievement Motivation and Growth Mindset materials are aimed at building motivation to achieve, perseverance, and the belief that individual abilities can be continuously developed through learning and experience. Both materials are expected to help students face the challenges of college with a positive attitude and a focus on self-improvement.

Strengthening analytical skills is done through Critical Thinking, while the Creativity, Entrepreneurship, and Collaboration material invites students to develop creative ideas, recognize opportunities, and build collaborations with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

*Digital Learning through UPNVJ LEADS*

Based on the technical implementation guidelines, all new UPNVJ students for the 2026/2027 academic year are required to take PROSPEKTIV 2026 via the UPNVJ LEADS application which can be accessed using their respective institutional email accounts.

Students must study seven videos available in the system before participating in the learning evaluation. Each video includes a 30-question multiple-choice test to assess their understanding of the material.

To pass, students must complete all material and obtain a minimum score of 80 on each test. Participants who do not meet this standard will be given the opportunity to retake the test during the implementation period, which runs until November 7, 2026.

This learning system provides students with the flexibility to complete the entire series of activities in one day or in stages, depending on their individual abilities and time management. However, all participants remain responsible for ensuring that all materials and assessments are completed by the specified deadline.

Students who successfully fulfill all graduation requirements will receive a PROSPEKTIV certificate as proof of completion of the self-development activities.

*Part of UPNVJ Student Development Commitment*

The implementation of PROSPEKTIV 2026 reflects UPNVJ's efforts to integrate character education and non-technical skills development into the new student development process. Through the use of digital learning platforms, the university strives to provide a more flexible, structured, and evaluable learning experience.

This program also strengthens the understanding that student success in higher education is not solely determined by academic achievement, but also the ability to manage oneself, communicate, collaborate, think critically, and make responsible decisions.

In line with UPNVJ's educational development direction, the implementation of PROSPEKTIV 2026 is one step towards supporting the development of students who are adaptive, possess integrity, are creative, and possess a spirit of national defense. This training, provided from the beginning of their studies, is expected to provide a foundation for students to develop their potential and make positive contributions to the campus and community.
