The Spirit of Transformation in the Faculty Leadership Workshop in the UPNVJ Environment

Public RelationsUPNVJ - The faculty leaders at the National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta need to become reliable, responsible, independent and transformative leaders in carrying out their respective duties. This was conveyed by the Chancellor of UPNVJ Dr. Anter Venus, MA., Comm in the Education and Training activities for Faculty Leaders in the UPNVJ Environment which took place at the Gran Mahakam Hotel for three days on 13-15 October 2023.

According to Venus, this activity is a form of provision for lecturers with additional duties who occupy leadership positions.

"To become transformative leaders, they must work based on rules and regulations that are in accordance with their main duties and functions and are data-based, so they are able to make strategic plans for the future," said Venus.

Training and equipping faculty leaders for lecturers with additional duties is a very important step in increasing the effectiveness of management and leadership in the UPNVJ environment. This is because the role of faculty leaders in managing, developing and supervising various academic aspects at the faculty level is very crucial.

With adequate training, lecturers with additional duties who take on the role of faculty leaders can have a deeper understanding of their duties and responsibilities, as well as the ability to make wise decisions to support faculty growth.

These activities not only have a positive impact on faculty performance, but also contribute to improving the overall quality of higher education, creating a better learning environment for students, and encouraging further innovation and research in higher education.

Another aim of this activity is to create consistency in the leadership's perspective regarding achieving common goals; increase leaders' understanding of their performance; optimizing human resources at the faculty level to achieve faculty and university goals; and implementing policies issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology regarding the achievement of the University's Main Performance.
