Public Relations UPNVJ – The UPN "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ) contingent represented by the Jakarta Veteran Pencak Silat Student Activity Unit (PSVJ) succeeded in getting 3 medals in the Creative Solo Art Silat category at the National Pencak Silat Championship (Kejurnas) Kemenpora Cup Cilacap Championship I in 2023. Kerjunas This event will take place at Gor Wijaya Kusuma Cilacap on 4-5 November 2023.

The three medals came from the men's creative solo art silat category, which was won by Wahid Oktovian, a student from the Bachelor of Communication Science study program who won a gold medal and Ahmad Santoso from the Bachelor of Information Systems study program who won a silver medal. Meanwhile, in the women's creative solo arts martial arts category, Putri Apriyanti, D3 Nursing Study Program, won the gold medal.

Chairman of the UPNVJ Contingent, Edo Janfien, said that in the Creative Solo Arts Silat Category, Kemenpora Cup, UPNVJ fielded 3 athletes, namely 2 men and 1 woman.

"Alhamdulillah, 3 athletes in the creative solo silat arts category managed to get gold and silver medals." Edo said.

Edo hopes that the medals won by Wahid, Anto and Putri can be an encouragement for athletes who have not yet competed so they can perform optimally and give the best results.

"In this National Competition, we have a target to become the first overall champion. Previously in September UKM PSVJ won the 2nd overall champion with a total of 35 medals at the National Competition in Malang," concluded Edo.

In this National Competition, the UPNVJ contingent sent 22 people to compete in the men's and women's sparring silat categories, men's and women's creative solo silat arts categories, men's and women's single-armed silat arts categories, men's and women's single-armed silat arts categories, double-armed silat arts categories men's, men's and women's team martial arts categories.
