HumasUPNVJ - Rector of the National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta ( UPNVJ ) Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA. Comm attended the socialization and handover of higher education scholarships at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology in Jakarta, Friday, March 14, 2025.
Not alone, Venus was accompanied by the Vice Chancellor for Cooperation and Student Affairs Dr. dr. Ria Maria Theresa, SpKJ, MH and Maula Zahra Alifa, one of the recipients of the Smart Indonesia Card (KIPK) scholarship from the Faculty of Medicine, UPNVJ.
Representatives of leaders from various state and private universities also attended, including the University of Indonesia, IPB University, Paramandina University, Jakarta State University and others.
This activity was attended directly by the Minister of Education Brian Yuliarto, Chair of Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives Hetifah Sjaifudian, Head of the Center for Financing and Assessment of Higher Education Henri Tambunan, and Secretary General, Togar Mangihut Simatupang.
According to Venus, providing KIPK scholarships is an important step that contributes to efforts to educate the nation through higher education.
"KIP is a very good breakthrough and will remain relevant in opening up access to education for intelligent students who are financially disadvantaged," said Venus.
"This program must continue to be maintained and even needs to be improved," he continued.
As a KIPK recipient, Maula admitted that he was very grateful and appreciated the scholarship. For him, being able to get the opportunity to study at FK UPNVJ is a blessing.
"My hopes for the future were almost dashed, if only this country had not reached out through KIPK," said Maula.
"Thanks to KIPK, I can continue my studies without worrying about any costs anymore. I am helped by the payment of the Single Tuition Fee (UKT) and provided with funds to be able to continue living a college life," he continued.
"The hope for the future is that more and more underprivileged children can get the same opportunities and contribute to the progress of this country," concluded Maula.
