UPNVJ and University of Poitiers Discuss Internationalization Strategy and Global Curriculum

 

The third day of the visit of the National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) to the University of Poitiers on April 16, 2025 carried a strategic agenda that strengthens academic partnerships in the fields of management, entrepreneurship, accounting, and business.

This activity is part of an international mobility program fully funded by Erasmus Plus International as a form of support for higher education cooperation between Europe and Southeast Asia.

The agenda began with a visit to IAE Poitiers (Institut d'Administration des Entreprises de Poitiers), the flagship management school of the University of Poitiers. The UPNVJ delegation was warmly welcomed by Véronique Preéchoux, Associate Professor and representative of IAE, and Clément Poupard, Responsible for International Relations of IAE.

This meeting became a productive discussion forum related to the development of academic cooperation, such as student and lecturer exchanges, international curriculum development, and opportunities for research collaboration in the fields of strategic management, global entrepreneurship, financial accounting, and auditing which are IAE's academic strengths.

In the session, Dr. Dianwicaksih Arieftiara, Ak., CA. conveyed the opportunity for collaboration in the management of the scientific journal of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UPNVJ, which is currently being prepared for Scopus indexation. FEB opens up collaboration space with colleagues from IAE as article writers, reviewers, and editorial partners. This initiative is expected to strengthen the quality and international visibility of UPNVJ's scientific journals.

Following the meeting at IAE, the UPNVJ delegation attended the Internationalization Strategy Seminar led by Stéphane Mottet, Vice-President in Charge of International Relations at the University of Poitiers. In his presentation, Stéphane emphasized the importance of building a comprehensive, sustainable, and cross-disciplinary collaboration-based internationalization strategy. He also underlined the importance of global curriculum integration, academic mobility, and strong institutional networks.

As a closing session, Dr. Henry Binsar Hamonangan Sitorus, ST, MT presented a souvenir from UPNVJ to the University of Poitiers as a form of appreciation for the warm welcome and ongoing cooperation.

UPNVJ also presented Indonesian specialties, which were introduced as part of cultural diplomacy. Dr. Henry and Dr. Dian explained the symbolic meaning and values of togetherness in Indonesian culinary culture, which added warmth to intercultural interactions.

The series of activities on the third day became an important momentum in strengthening the foundation of academic and cultural cooperation between UPNVJ and the University of Poitiers. With the synergy that has been established, as well as full financial support from the Erasmus Plus International program, UPNVJ continues to move forward in realizing the vision of campus internationalization that has a broad and sustainable impact.
