HumasUPNVJ - Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta welcomed the visit of Prof. Ahmed from Université de Poitiers from France as a resource person for the Introduction to English class at the Faculty of Economics and Business. This activity took place under the guidance of the lecturer in charge, Mr. Fachru Nifrian, Ph.D.
In a lecture session that raised the theme of macroeconomics, Prof. Ahmed shared deep insights on the implementation of macro theory in understanding the dynamics of the world economy. He emphasized the importance of students having an open view of various global economic policies and encouraged them to be able to analyze economic problems critically and objectively.
“Macroeconomics is not just about numbers and statistics, but also about how we understand the impact of policies on the wider society and how we can contribute to creating inclusive solutions,” said Prof. Ahmed.
As an academic specializing in human capital, industry and mining, Prof. Ahmed also shared his experience in researching strategic issues related to economic development and human resources.
He highlighted how human resource management and the industrial sector are key to driving sustainable economic growth, as well as the importance of the mining sector in the economies of developing countries.
This activity received high enthusiasm from FEB UPNVJ students who actively discussed and asked questions about global economic challenges, ranging from issues of inflation, unemployment, to inequality in income distribution.
Through this session, it is expected that students will not only understand macroeconomic theory conceptually, but also be able to apply it in analyzing economic phenomena that occur at the national and international levels.
With international collaborations like this, UPNVJ is committed to continuing to broaden students' horizons and strengthen global academic networks in order to produce competent graduates who are ready to compete in an increasingly dynamic world economy.
