UPNVJ Chancellor Attends Connect Jakarta, Encourages Cross-Sector Strategic Collaboration

Public Relations of UPNVJ - The Chancellor of the National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ), Prof. Dr. Anter Venus attended the launch of Connect Jakarta held by Bank Indonesia, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Representative Office at the Movenpick Hotel, Central Jakarta, on Thursday, May 8, 2025. This event carried the theme "Strengthening Synergy and Collaboration for Jakarta to Go Global."

DKI Jakarta launched the Connect Jakarta program which presents cross-sector synergy from government, academics, business actors, communities, and mass media as part of a pentahelix collaboration to support Jakarta's competitive, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth.

This special agenda was also attended by the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno. In his speech, Rano appreciated the cross-sector collaboration that has been built so far in supporting the development of Jakarta and as a form of appreciation for the commitment and enthusiasm of all stakeholders to jointly build the future of Jakarta.

Representing universities from the pentahelix collaboration that synergizes with Connect Jakarta, Venus said that this activity is collaborative in nature and synergizes with several sectors, including academics.

"It should also be noted that our cooperation with Bank Indonesia has been going on for quite a long time, more than 5 years, and this is a form of strengthening and implementing the existing cooperation," explained Venus.

Connect Jakarta is a strategic collaboration forum initiated by Bank Indonesia DKI Jakarta Province as a form of strengthening synergy between stakeholders in the capital city.

With various global and regional economic challenges, Connect Jakarta is present as a meeting place and a binding commitment across pentahelix elements. The goal is to encourage inclusive collaboration and address various economic challenges in Jakarta.

This program is also a consolidation event to strengthen Jakarta's role as a competitive global city that is able to improve the welfare of all its citizens.

In the series of Connect Jakarta launches, Bank Indonesia also held several other strategic activities.

Through Connect Jakarta, Bank Indonesia is optimistic about the prospects for economic growth in the capital city. It is estimated that Jakarta's economic growth this year will be in the range of 4.6%-5.4%, with a controlled inflation rate of 2.5±1%.
