UPNVJ-University of Poitiers Builds New Foundation for Joint Mobility and Research

HumasUPNVJ - The last day of the official visit of the delegation of the National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) at the University of Poitiers on April 18, 2025 in the Erasmus Plus International program was marked by two main agendas: evaluation of the international mobility program with the International Office Relations (IOR) and exploration of academic collaboration with the École Nationale Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Poitiers (ENSIP).

The agenda began at 09.00 local time with an evaluation session on the implementation of student and teacher mobility in 2024 with representatives of the IOR University of Poitiers, Marlène Belly and Cécile Cremois. This discussion discussed strengthening the governance of the mobility program, including adjusting the French language requirements for UPNVJ students. Starting from the next period, prospective student mobility participants are required to have a DELF B2 certification as proof of language proficiency.

UPNVJ will also be responsible for the initial selection process of participants through documents such as motivation letters, DELF B2 certificates, transcripts, and course plans. These documents will be forwarded to the destination faculty at the University of Poitiers for further selection processes.

In addition, IOR requested complete administrative documents from participants in the 2024/2025 academic year program, including active certificates and converted transcripts for students named Davinninzam, Tamara, and Fauzan, as well as work certificates from three lecturers who participated in teaching mobility in September–October 2024.

In the knowledge sharing session, IOR explained the centralized international student management system through Campus France. All program participants, whether funded by Erasmus+ or other scholarships, are channeled through this institution to ensure a systematic and coordinated selection process.

After the session with IOR, the UPNVJ delegation continued their visit to ENSIP, where they were welcomed by Prof. Guillaume Mercère—an expert in automatic control, signal processing, numerical optimization, and machine learning—who also serves as Head of the ENSIP Department of International Relations.

During the meeting, both institutions discussed the potential for cross-disciplinary research collaboration, especially in the fields of engineering, informatics, and AI-based control systems. ENSIP also introduced the scientific lunch format, a scientific discussion forum combined with an informal lunch as a forum for exchanging ideas.

The fifth day's activities were closed with a luncheon from ENSIP, which strengthened institutional relations in a warm and personal way.

The five-day visit reflects significant progress in strengthening academic and managerial cooperation between UPNVJ and the University of Poitiers. With the support of the Erasmus Plus program and the collaborative spirit of both parties, the foundation of this global partnership is increasingly solid to grow into the future.
