Public Relations of UPNVJ – A total of 146 Prospective Civil Servants (CPNS) placed at the National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) have participated in the 2024 Fiscal Year CPNS Orientation and Briefing activities. This event took place from Wednesday to Thursday, June 25, 2025, at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Auditorium, UPN “Veteran” Jakarta.
This activity is an important moment for UPNVJ to equip and provide understanding to CPNS regarding the duties and responsibilities as lecturers and educators in the university environment.
Emphasis of the PIKIR Principle by the Chancellor
On the first day, the CPNS Orientation and Briefing was filled with three materials, one of which was an explanation of the history of UPN which was delivered directly by the Chancellor of UPNVJ Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA., Comm. On that occasion, the Chancellor emphasized the importance of adhering to the PIKIR work principle.
"UPNVJ as a National Defense campus, in addition to having 14 traditional university values, also has a PIKIR work culture which is an acronym for Professional, Integrity, Struggle, Innovation, and Responsiveness. Instill this in your minds," explained the Chancellor in his presentation.
Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. dr. H. Taufiq Fredrik Pasiak, M.Kes., M.Pd.I., and Acting Head of the Planning, General, and Finance Bureau, Dr. Ahmad Ahsin Thohari, SH, MH, also provided materials.
Identity Embedding and Hope for Renewal
Entering the second day, the Chancellor symbolically pinned nametags as self-identity in the UPNVJ environment, PIKIR pins, and Bela Negara pins to seven representative participants from each faculty. The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) was represented by Mukhamad Busro Asmuni, representing 38 CPNS from the faculty.
Before the pinning procession, the Chancellor of UPNVJ again welcomed and congratulated all participants. He hopes that the 147 CPNS who have attended this orientation and briefing can bring renewal to the institution.
"Thank you for following today's orientation well. We hope that by joining you at the Bela Negara campus, you can become new energy, as well as present various innovations for the institution," concluded Venus.
In addition to the pinning procession, participants also received three materials delivered by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Henry Binsar Hamonangan Sitorus, ST., MT.; Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, Prof. Dr. Ir. Supriyanto, ST, M.Sc., IPM.; and Vice Chancellor for Planning, Finance, and General Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Netti Herawati, M.Si.
