UPNVJ Public Relations – The Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of UPN “Veteran” Jakarta ( UPNVJ ) is a unity forum for Civil Servants (PNS), wives of PNS, and the entire extended family within the UPNVJ environment. DWP plays an active role in carrying out social activities that are an inseparable part of PNS duties, not only for the academic community, but also for the surrounding community.

In line with this spirit, the UPNVJ DWP routinely holds community empowerment workshops annually. In 2025, the UPNVJ DWP will again hold a workshop entitled "Utilizing Unused Items and Household Waste to Create Added Value," which will be held offline at the UPNVJ Pondok Labu Campus on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.

This activity aims to increase awareness and skills among DWP members and the surrounding community in managing household waste into useful and economically valuable products. This workshop also serves as part of UPNVJ's contribution to supporting sustainability programs and household waste reduction.

During the event, participants received hands-on training from experienced speakers in recycling and handicrafts, Ms. Siti Rahayu and Ms. Marni Dewi Yanti. They were also encouraged to practice making creative products from used materials, such as bags made from plastic packaging, plant pots from used bottles, aromatherapy candles, and crafts made from patchwork.

The Chairperson of the UPNVJ DWP, Nantia Rena Venus, expressed her hope that this activity would inspire participants to be wiser in managing waste, while also creating business opportunities from items previously considered useless.

This workshop took place with high enthusiasm and was attended by 100 participants, both from internal and external circles of UPNVJ.
