UPNVJ's Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Encourages New Students to Become Outstanding Graduates in the 2025 PKKMB

Public Relations of UPNVJ – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of the National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) welcomed 953 new students through the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) 2025. The event, held at the Ciracas Sports Arena, Jakarta, on Wednesday (13/8/2025), carried the theme “More Advanced, Superior, Global” to form graduates with global competitiveness from an early age.

In his speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at UPNVJ, Dr. S. Bekti Istiyanto, M.Sc., encouraged new students to not only passively pursue their education but also actively contribute, innovate, and compete at the national and international levels. "We want to transcend local boundaries. As one of two state universities in Jakarta, FISIP at UPNVJ must be at the forefront," Bekti said.
He emphasized the importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration, technological mastery, and social awareness as tools for facing global challenges. Bekti also encouraged students to feel free to report academic challenges to their supervisors or faculty leaders to find solutions together.

The 2025 PKKMB (Family Recognition) program featured presentations of the faculty's vision and mission, introductions to study programs, and dialogues with inspiring lecturers and alumni. New students were encouraged to become active in student organizations, research, and international student exchange programs, which have been FISIP's hallmarks in recent years. The theme "More Advanced, Superior, Global" is a spirit integrated into all academic and non-academic activities.

The new students' enthusiasm was evident in their active participation in the dialogue sessions. They appeared motivated to take advantage of the various opportunities FISIP offers to hone their academic and leadership skills.

With this PKKMB, FISIP UPNVJ affirms its commitment to developing a young generation that excels not only academically but also possesses leadership and global competitiveness. The faculty strives to produce graduates capable of contributing nationally and internationally through achievement, collaboration, and innovation.

The 2025 UPNVJ FISIP PKKMB event is the first step to equip new students with a new vision and enthusiasm, while strengthening the faculty's position as an educational center oriented towards global excellence.
