This event embodied the spirit of nationalism and the preservation of Indonesian culture.
The flag ceremony, which began at 7:30 a.m. WIB, was attended by members of the academic community, including university leaders, lecturers, education staff, and students. UPNVJ Rector, Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA., Comm., served as the ceremony instructor and read the proclamation. In his remarks, he urged all participants to remember the heroes' struggles and strengthen the spirit of unity to realize an Advanced Indonesia.
Following the ceremony, the event continued with a fashion show showcasing the diverse cultural heritage of various regions in Indonesia, from Sabang to Merauke. Lecturers and educational staff from various work units wore traditional attire representing the cultural diversity of Indonesia's provinces. The show not only showcased the beauty of traditional clothing but also embodied cultural values in a modern setting.
This event also serves as part of UPNVJ's efforts to instill national values and diversity in students and academics. With the theme of "Indonesia Maju" (Advancing Indonesia) for the 80th Indonesian Independence Day, UPNVJ hopes this activity will inspire a spirit of unity and cultural preservation among the younger generation.
