Moh. Arif Fadhilah Proves Success in the Pencak Silat Classroom and on the Field

UPNVJ Public Relations – The journey of Moh. Arif Fadhilah, S.Kom., a graduate of the Informatics Study Program at the National Development University "Veteran" Jakarta (UPNVJ) undergraduate program, is one of Mahardika's works proving that achievements can be achieved in various fields, both academic and non-academic. This graduate with a GPA of 3.81 successfully achieved 12 achievements during his studies, with a primary focus in the field of pencak silat.

Arif admitted that he initially never intended to pursue the title of outstanding student. However, his experience participating in his first competition changed his perspective. "I didn't initially intend to be an outstanding student, but when I was invited to participate in a competition, I realized, 'This is what it feels like to be an outstanding student.' Since then, I've been motivated to make my parents and myself proud," he said.

Arif's journey hasn't always been easy. The biggest challenge he faced was managing priorities amidst his busy schedule. He once practiced pencak silat six days a week without a semester break, while simultaneously preparing for a national Hackathon competition. Although he had to sacrifice leisure time and sleep, his hard work paid off. He won a medal in the pencak silat competition and placed in the Top 20 at the national Hackathon.

For Arif, success brings a special satisfaction. "Opportunities to excel aren't just in academics, but also in non-academic areas. The important thing is to know your priorities, have the courage to try, and never give up easily," he said.

As part of the National Defense Campus, Arif is committed to bringing the UPNVJ identity to the workplace. He emphasized the importance of integrity, professionalism, and cooperation as National Defense values that he must continue to implement.

He also left a message for new students: "Don't give up easily. Try every opportunity available. Don't be afraid. Destiny is indeed predetermined, but we are the ones who pave the way and make the effort," he emphasized.

The story of Moh. Arif Fadhilah is clear evidence that enthusiasm, discipline, and the courage to try can lead UPNVJ students to achieve success in various fields.
