FIK UPNVJ and JXUWP China Plan Joint Research for Society 5.0

UPNVJ Public Relations - The Faculty of Computer Science (FIK) of the National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) is exploring research, conference, and student exchange collaboration with Jiangxi University of Water Resources and Electric Power (JXUWP) China. The visit of the JXUWP delegation led by Vice President Lu Weifeng was welcomed by the Rector of UPNVJ, Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm., and the leadership team in Nusantara Room 1, on September 17, 2025.

The meeting was attended by the Vice Rector for Planning, General Affairs, and Finance, the Head of the Office of International Affairs, and the leaders of the Faculty of Information Technology (FIK) and the Faculty of Engineering. The discussion focused on strengthening academic networks in the field of information technology.

During the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science (FIK) at UPNVJ, Prof. Dr. Ir. Supriyanto, introduced the faculty's profile and annual activities, including the International Conference on Informatics, Multimedia, Cyber, and Information Systems (ICIMCIS). The JXUWP delegation expressed interest in participating as Technical Program Committee members, reviewers, or keynote speakers at future editions.

The two parties also discussed student exchanges. UPNVJ shared its successful experience with Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) Malaysia, which has been integrating online and in-person lectures since 2019. "This scheme has received a positive response from JXUWP and has the potential to be developed together," Supriyanto said when met in Jakarta on Tuesday (September 30, 2025).

Following the meeting, the delegation visited the laboratory facilities of the Faculty of Information and Communication Sciences (FIK) at UPNVJ. This initiative is expected to strengthen strategic collaboration, including contributing to the development of Society 5.0 through joint research in informatics and water resources.
