Public Relations of UPNVJ - Students of the Radiology Specialist Doctor Education Program (PPDS) of the Faculty of Medicine, National Development University “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) achieved two achievements at the 18th Annual Scientific Meeting (PIT) of the Indonesian Association of Clinical Radiology Specialists (PDSRKI) in 2025. The national event was held on September 11–13, 2025 in Semarang, Central Java.
The UPNVJ Radiology Residents Team won second place in the Favorite Performance Gala Dinner Art Competition. Their performance highlighted creativity and teamwork. Furthermore, Dr. Mutiara Syafitri entered the top 10 best abstracts in the Research Report with her work entitled "A Systematic Review of AI-Assisted Convolutional Neural Network Supporting Radiologists in Detecting Malignant Pulmonary Nodules on Chest CT."
Syafitri's research explores the use of artificial intelligence (AI) based on convolutional neural networks to detect malignant lung nodules on chest CT. This issue is relevant to developments in modern radiology, where AI improves detection accuracy by up to 95 percent by reducing false positives, as demonstrated by recent studies.
The students involved included Dr. Wajarsi Pratami, Dr. Yanuar Ekaputra Tubagus, Dr. Mutiara Syafitri, Dr. Eunike Diah Purwanti, and Dr. Firdha Aulia Nisa. They were accompanied by their supervisors, Dr. Vininta Fazharyasti, Sp.Rad Subsp.TR(K), and Dr. Nataliandra Natasha Maarifat, Sp.Rad Subsp.PRP(K).
This achievement reflects the dedication of UPNVJ's Radiology Residents to developing scientific knowledge, clinical skills, and creativity. This success reinforces the UPNVJ academic community's contribution to advancing Indonesian radiology at the national level.
