UPNVJ Public Relations - The Faculty of Computer Science of the Veteran National Development University Jakarta (FIK UPNVJ) recorded an achievement with the maiden flight of an aeromodelling aircraft designed by a research team on November 15, 2025. This activity in BSD involved students from the Robotics Student Study Group, lecturers, education staff, and expert practitioners.

The aircraft successfully took off, maneuvered, and landed smoothly thanks to simulator preparation and favorable weather conditions, marking the integration of engineering, informatics, and technology.

The research team learned to fly the aircraft through hands-on trials following intensive simulations. This success demonstrated the students' ability to apply their knowledge practically. Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology (FIK) at UPNVJ, Prof. Dr. Ir. Supriyanto, M.Sc. , IPM., commended the team's efforts.

"This success demonstrates that our students are capable of applying engineering, informatics, and technology in an integrated manner. This is a crucial first step in building research capacity in aeromodeling and other strategic technologies," he said.
